Crocus Striped Bird Bulbs
Crocus Striped Bird is an early flowering crocus with lavender purple petals and soft creamy white streaks. As the flowers open, deeper purple tones show through the centre, giving low spring displays a more detailed look from February to March.
Growing to around 10cm tall, this crocus is useful for lawns, ground cover, flower beds, pots and awkward partly shaded spaces. It can also be planted near seating areas or paths where the striped petals can be seen close up.
Plant from July to October in moist but well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Space the bulbs around 5cm apart and plant them around 5cm deep. Once settled, they can return in future years and gradually build into small groups.
