Tulip Orphanidea Flava Bulbs
Tulip Orphanidea Flava is a low growing tulip with golden yellow flowers and warm orange edging. The pointed petals give the blooms a starry shape, bringing clear spring colour to borders, gravel areas and naturalised planting from April to May.
Growing to around 25cm tall, this variety is useful at the front of flower beds, around deciduous trees and shrubs, or in smaller spring displays where taller tulips may feel too large. Each stem can produce multiple flowers, helping the display look fuller when planted in groups.
Plant from September to December in moist but well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Remove faded flowers after blooming, but leave the foliage to yellow naturally so the bulbs can store energy for the following year.
