Nectaroscordum Siculum, also known as Sicilian Honey Garlic, is a tall allium relative with clusters of drooping bell shaped flowers. The blooms carry soft green, cream and pink tones, giving borders and mixed planting a more unusual look from June to July.
Growing to around 90cm tall, these bulbs are useful for adding height through beds, borders, cottage gardens and Mediterranean style planting. They look best planted in groups, either with other alliums or among taller perennials where the hanging flower clusters can sit above surrounding foliage.
The flowers have a noticeable garlic scent and are part of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection. They can also be dried after flowering, making them useful for longer lasting indoor arrangements.
