How do I prepare the compost?
Place the peat-free compost pellet in a suitable mixing container and add 300ml of lukewarm water. Allow it to stand and expand for 30-60 minutes, then drain off any excess water and mix well.

When and how do I plant the bulbs?
Plant from August onwards. Half fill the planter with compost, place the bulbs with their noses upright and cover with more compost. Water sparingly so the compost is moist, taking care not to overwater.

Where should I keep the planter while it's growing?
Place it in a cool, dark position (7-9°C) until the shoots are 5-10cm tall, then move it to a light, warm position (18-20°C). Once in flower, move it to a cool, bright spot to prolong its life, turning occasionally as the flowers grow towards the light.

Is this suitable for indoor use only?
Yes, this kit is designed for growing indoors throughout.

Will this fit on a small windowsill or desk?
Yes, its compact 10cm x 10cm size makes it ideal for small spaces such as windowsills, desks and side tables.

How do I look after it once it's flowering?
Keep the compost moist at all times. If you haven't planted straight away, store the kit in a cool, dry place until you're ready.
