Fritillaria Imperialis Orange Beauty, also known as Crown Imperial Orange Beauty, produces burnt orange bell shaped flowers held in a cluster beneath a crown of green foliage. The tall stems bring strong height and colour to spring beds, borders, rock gardens and larger containers.
Flowering from April to May, this variety grows to around 70cm tall and works well as a feature plant among lower spring bulbs. It can also be paired with red and purple tulips for a richer colour mix.
Plant from September to November in moist but well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. The bulb should be planted around 25cm deep and 20cm apart, giving it enough room to develop properly.
