Tulip Negrita Bulbs
Tulip Negrita is a deep purple tulip with a classic flower shape and strong upright stems. The blooms appear from April to May, bringing rich colour to beds, borders, pots and containers.
Growing to around 45cm tall, Negrita works well in mixed spring planting, especially alongside paler flowers where the purple petals can stand out clearly. It can also be used as a cut flower for indoor arrangements once the blooms open.
Plant from September to December in moist but well drained soil, in full sun. Choose a sheltered position where possible, and avoid planting tulips in the exact same spot year after year.
