Tulip Secret Perfume is a scented double tulip with golden yellow flowers and layers of full petals. The blooms appear from April to May, bringing warm spring colour to beds, borders, pots and containers.
Growing to around 45cm tall, this variety sits well towards the front or middle of a border. It also works nicely in patio pots, balcony containers and entrance planters, especially where the fragrance can be noticed as the flowers open.
Plant from September to December in moist but well drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. A sheltered position helps protect the stems from strong winds. The flowers can also be cut for indoor spring arrangements.
