Crocus Vernus Striped is a lovely choice for bringing early spring colour into the garden. The flowers open in a mix of white and violet stripes, giving them a more detailed look than a plain crocus, while the narrow green foliage with its pale central stripe adds extra interest around the blooms.
These bulbs are well suited to the front of borders, rockeries, window boxes and pathway edges, where the patterning can really be appreciated up close. They also work well in pots if you want a simple spring container that starts the season off properly.
Plant them in autumn in a sunny spot with moist but well drained soil. Grouping them together gives a much stronger display, whether you are filling a small area with one variety or mixing them with other spring bulbs for a broader spread of colour.
These bulbs should be planted from July through to October.
They do best in a sunny position with moist but well drained soil. They are a good fit for borders, rockeries, walkways and window boxes.

Yes, they are a very good choice for pots and smaller containers.
Yes, they can naturalise over time if planted in a suitable spot and left undisturbed.
Yes, this variety is lightly scented, which makes it a nice one to place near paths or entrances.
