Fritillaria Meleagris Alba White Snake's Head Bulbs
White Snake's Head Fritillary is a delicate spring bulb with nodding white bell shaped flowers held on pale green stems. It has a soft wildflower look, making it a good choice for naturalised borders, woodland edges, rockeries and informal garden planting.
The flowers appear from April to May and grow to around 20cm tall, so they sit neatly at the front of borders or beneath shrubs. Each plant usually produces at least one nodding flower, and sometimes two, with slim grey green foliage adding to the natural look.
Plant the bulbs from September to December in partial shade, in rich soil that does not dry out during summer. Planting earlier in the season gives the roots more time to settle before colder weather arrives.
