Desiree Autumn seed potatoes
**Plant these Autumn potatoes as soon as possible after purchase**
This Desiree potato by Taylors is very much to be desired with its distinctive, glossy red skin combined with a light golden flesh. Sought after by allotment-holders due to its resistance to drought, the Desiree potato is a substantial, elongated tuber with a cylindric shape and shallow eyes. Dense, and low in moisture, creating a firm consistency, the Desiree potato when cooked exhibits waxiness, starchy, and floury attributes. A versatile potato with a rich, earthy, flavour and tender texture that makes for a wholesome addition to any cooking recipe with a first class taste.
These Potatoes should be ready in approximately 12 weeks or after flowering. Harvest only as required, the remainder can be left in situ for up to a month.
