Crocus Barr's Purple Bulbs

Crocus Barr's Purple is an early flowering crocus with purple lilac cup shaped blooms and bright orange stigmas and stamens. The flowers appear from February to March, bringing low spring colour to pots, containers, lawns and border edges.

Growing to around 8cm tall, this variety is a good choice for planting where the flowers can be seen close up. The green striped leaves have a silver flash through the centre, adding extra detail around the blooms.

Plant from September to December in moist but well drained soil, in full sun. Barr's Purple is also useful for naturalising in lawns and can be mixed with early yellow narcissus for a strong spring contrast.
